Congratulations to Dr. Douglas Robb and Dr. Sara Jacobs on Receiving a University of Calgary Connector Grant
We are excited to share that Dr. Douglas Robb and Dr. Sara Jacobs have been awarded a University of Calgary Connector Grant for their upcoming project, Pyro-Mobilities.
Pyro-Mobilities is a transdisciplinary exhibition and series of workshops that will examine how wildfire reorganizes movement and constraint across ecological, social, and political systems. Taking place in February 2026, the event will gather 15–20 contributors, including scholars, designers, artists, policymakers, and Indigenous knowledge holders, for two days of curated programming and public engagement in downtown Calgary.
Planned activities include panel discussions, facilitated workshops, a public exhibition, and a guided field trip to fire-affected landscapes in Banff National Park.
The project team brings together a diverse group of collaborators deeply committed to transdisciplinary research and creative practice. Members of the Energy Stories Lab: Dr. Sabrina Perić, Dr. Jean-René Leblanc, and Yekta Tarki, are proud to contribute to this exciting initiative.
Congratulations to the team on this achievement!
