Gabrielle Barber (she/they) is a first year graduate student pursuing her Masters of Arts in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Calgary. Her current research project focuses on conservative grassroots movements in Alberta and how they form their networks and connections. She was awarded a SSHRC CGS-M for her project. Gabrielle is also interested generally in Alberta politics and communicating them to the public, which she currently does through her Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Gabrielle also did their undergraduate at UCalgary in anthropology, where her honours thesis focused on queer communities in rural Alberta. She also is the digital content creator for the Energy Stories Lab.
